Consumer Evaluations
Haven't had the Steam Dynamo steam cleaner for very extended so I can't testify as to durability, but this small guy seems pretty sturdy, and what's to go wrong, it's a tiny electric boiler on wheels. I was tired of the plethora of chemicals I was applying to clean difficult surfaces in my house, ceramic tile floors, laminate counter tops, bathroom fixtures. They might have cleaned, but they always seemed to leave a sticky residue and chemical-y smell. If I walked barefoot over my kitchen floor, for example, my feet made small tape-y sounds. Applying the steam cleaner, they squeak, like the sound your clean wet hair tends to make soon after a excellent shampoo. Feels much better also. The cleaner has lots of nifty attachments that (largely) fit in the housing of the cleaner itself, and as opposed to some cleaners, you can use any old rag across the large cleaning attachment. (You are going to have to appear at the item to know which one particular I'm talking about). Immediately after comparing characteristics and rates, this cleaner was priced especially reasonably. I have only 2 minor complaints: 1) the electrical cord could've been longer and 2) a smaller attachment that could accept a cleaning cloth would've been handy for use on counter tops. Really pleased with my obtain.
Just got my EWBANK DYNAMO and applied it final night. I have a new puppy, which comes with its own tiny housebreaking challenges. The DYNAMO was just that on the puppy spots. The spots on the tiles are gone and the house no longer smells like "dog". Steam was hot enought to clean even the grout, and there are no harsh chemical smells - just a refreshing clean scent. The amnual was effortless to follow, the machine rolls nicely across the floor, and the extnesion wand is extended sufficient so you do not have to stoop. The attachments make it versatile adequate to use all over the home. A few drawbacks which kept it from finding a complete five stars:
1. As mentioned by the other reviewers, the 8.2 foot power chord is not lengthy sufficient. If you are cleaning a larger room, you want to use a number of outlets to get the coverage you have to have. This is overcome by employing an extension chord, but for some thing that is supposed to clean something as large as floor region, it falls - pun intended - short.
2. The cleaning rag it comes with is not adequate for large location cleaning. It is an quite affordable tiny peice of thin towel material which picks up the dirt adequately adequate, but demands to be changed rather commonly.
