here's a few backgrounds on exactly where i am - i'm in a space that is in continual sunlight all day extended - on long island in NY. i perform from household, to boot, so i've usually got the Television and laptop on. needless to say, i'm in the space alot and thee is a lot of "heat" sources on in the space most of the time.
i am not a person that likes the frigid dryness of an AC, so when i commence noticing the heat (commonly at about 80 degrees) i kick on the AC for about ten minutes and then I shut it off once more until it begins obtaining hot. Usually about as soon as each hour or so, I do this.
With this fan, I have not kicked the AC on when. The room drops about 2 degrees with the fan regularly circulating air (i've got a temperature gauge in my room) and its low wattage (35 on low, 39/40 on medium, and 46 on high and on HIGH it reaaaally moves some crazy air) beats my AC any day (500 watts on low). I can literally run this fan for 12 hours and it really is nevertheless far less wattage than my AC at one hour.
The oscillation feature is great, you do not hear it moving at all the way some tower fans and oscillating fans can be heard. Whether or not this will degrade over time, I am not sure - it most likely will as all factors degrade - but for now it is working best. The ionizer function is actually only going to improve two points - the gathering of dust in a space and the "freshness" of the air. If you don't notice the ionizer performing anything, then congrats, you currently have a fresh smelling area that is not that dusty. I notice that it does work though bc i've got a sizeable amount of cardboard boxes in this space (i sell and ship items for a living) and cardboard confident can stink. Nicely this ionizer kicks that odor out and circulates a cool fresh breeze.
The timer mode operates like a charm and the "sleep" mode, is kinda neat, but kinda weird as i would not recommend it for sleeping. it functions erratically in between low, medium, high, off and gives even more of a natural breeze than anything that i'd recommend sleeping on. the continual variation of noise of the fans (which are quite quiet, but at night they will appear louder bc almost everything is quieter) will most likely preserve you up if you use it in the bedroom. For a natural breeze although, it is a fine selection setting.
The fan is also very potent, on low you can feel a breeze from about 10 feet away. On medium, about 15 feet away, and on high about 20 to 25 feet away. it's fairly amazing :) the remote feature is awesome too although at instances, when its oscillating, it can be tough to get it at the "ideal" time and line it up. for the most component, that is going to be a trouble with an oscillating remote controlled fan.
overall, its a excellent fan and i definitely recommend purchasing it.

This fan has carried out the job for weeks now. It is on all the time in the bedroom. It is still quiet, even on oscillate. And I wouldn't do without having the remote control feature...that is why I picked this model. I haven't been disappointed.
